Progressive Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) is a compassionate charity based in SW Ontario that is dedicated to ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of our communities during times of crisis.
We are currently seeking an experienced Fundraising Lead with proven leadership skills and networking abilities. The Fundraising Lead will be responsible for establishing relationships with prospective donors and clients across multiple sectors, communicating with the broader public and internal teams, delegating tasks, and drawing up plans to ensure annual targets are met. You should be well organized, proactive, and have the ability to inspire those around you.
To be successful as a fundraising lead, you should stay informed on marketing strategies, and be comfortable doing research on different sectors. A great fundraising manager should have sharp public speaking skills and be able to deliver presentations to a range of audiences. The Fundraiser Lead position has three main areas of responsibility: Fundraising, Maintaining and Building Positive Relationships, and Coordinating Strategy and Reporting.
Expected duties include:

Conducting research on fundraising opportunities.

Planning and executing fundraising events held both online and in-person.

Preparing annual budgets.

Achieving and reporting progress on annual fundraising targets.

Coming up with ingenious ways to raise awareness of PAWS.

Collaborate with the Marketing team to advise on a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.

Establishing and maintaining good relationships with volunteer staff, stakeholders, members of the public, and the media.

Collaborate with the People & Culture team to train, support, and manage volunteers to achieve fundraising objectives.

Work with various portals and tools such as CanadaHelps, Benevity, Prime and/or Trigger promotion
Fundraiser Lead Requirements:

3-5 years of fundraising experience.

Previous experience in sales or marketing is also acceptable.

Working knowledge of the charity sector.

Experience managing a team of volunteers is an asset.

Excellent written, verbal, and online communication skills.

Strong strategic planning and thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective fundraising strategies.

Working knowledge of Google suite of products, Microsoft office, and Donor Management Systems.
Commitment:
