Pillar Nonprofit Network is delighted to partner again this year with the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations (CCVO) and Imagine Canada on the 2024 Boland Survey. The Boland Survey is the most comprehensive source of nonprofit sector compensation data in Canada and has helped Canadian nonprofits make data-based decisions on salary and human resource practices since 1997. Pillar is pleased to recommend that our nonprofit members participate in the survey and increase its regional reach.
The Boland Survey is an important tool to help organizations recruit and retain employees and a source of important data to support our advocacy for a nonprofit workforce strategy. It has compensation information for 96 positions, along with data on flex time, onboarding, paid time off, professional development practices, employee recognition, recruitment practices, and more. With ongoing inflation and accelerating changes in employment practices, it is more important than ever that nonprofits have information on total compensation packages, both to benchmark their organizations and, also, to understand where the issues that affect each of us also affect all of us.
The survey should take 1-3 hours for participants, depending on the number of job-position types they report, and subscription prices for the Boland Survey are on a sliding scale, dependent on organization size. Organizations that participate by entering their own HR data receive up to 73% off a Boland report subscription (up to $500 for larger organizations). Pillar Nonprofit Network members receive an additional 10% off, by entering Pillar2024! on the payment page.
The 2024 Survey is open now and organizations may enter their data until April 30, with reports available by the end of June. Pillar encourages all nonprofit members to be part of our region's and our sector's data story.
