What do you want people to know about how you or your organization is creating change in our community?

What are you working on that you would like to share with the community?
The recent pandemic has shone light on problems in nonprofit fundraising- it became glaringly evident that the future of event-based fundraising is uncertain. Both event participation and volunteerism have decreased since the pandemic, and this absence has gone on for so long that many people may choose not to return. There has been some shift towards unrestricted giving, which means organizations could become less reliant on unrestricted funds from event fundraising if they make strategic efforts to encourage past volunteers and other donors to give. Yet, how to make this possible when other industries are hiring fundraisers away from the NFP sector and there hasn't been enough money invested in fundraising (a.k.a. "overhead")? It is more vital than ever that your organization has the option to train non-fundraisers to become fundraisers who can build the internal infrastructure required of a sustainable fundraising operation. Your organizational health and capacity depend on it.
Growth & Co. was born out of the personal legacy of founder Larissa Stoddart. Larissa Stoddart grew up in extraordinary circumstances and left home in high school due to mental health and addictions challenges in her family. Without money to pay for university, being the recipient of multiple scholarships and bursaries made it possible for her to be the first in her family to graduate from university. Donor funding had transformed her life—and she realized that donor funding could also transform the lives of countless others. Today, she works tirelessly to teach organizations how to raise money to ensure that people who might have a different story without access to these opportunities can live out their dreams just like she did.
