Building Bridges: Indwell's Impact Story

Almost 8 years ago, we opened Innovation Works to unite nonprofits, businesses and individuals to collaborate and solve some of the community's most pressing challenges - together. Indwell, a Christian charity that creates affordable housing communities, became a co-tenant at Innovation Works in 2019. They quickly got involved in community events and networking opportunities.

In 2020, Indwell opened Woodfield Gate, a 72-unit building that offers affordable housing to some of London's most marginalized members. Thanks to community connections made at Innovation Works, Indwell developed partnerships with Edgar and Joe's Cafe and the Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op of London Cycle Link, a non-profit that supports and advocates for the biking community in London. Edgar and Joe's, formerly the cafe that operated out of Innovation Works, now has a location in Embassy Commons, which opened in 2022, where they provide meals and programming for tenants at Embassy Commons and Woodfield Gate. The Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op lends out bikes to tenants, making it easier for tenants to cycle for fun or to run errands. Indwell attributes these partnerships to the time that they spent at Innovation Works. Read more about Indwell's impact story below.
