We’re looking for an organized task-master who will help us bring communities together to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Receipting: Ensure timely and accurate processing of donor receipts in compliance with CRA regulations.
  • Grant Writing: Research, draft, and submit grant applications to secure funding for Habitat’s programs and initiatives.
  • Steward Donor Relationships: Create thoughtful stewardship plans and maintain communication with donors to ensure ongoing engagement and support.
  • Conduct Research: Identify and evaluate new funding opportunities and potential donor prospects.
  • Sell, Solicit and Secure Individual Donations: drive efforts to nurture current individual donors and grow our net-new one-time and reoccurring donor base.

About You:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an fundraising/ grant development role.
  • Experience working within the non-profit sector.
  • Detail-Oriented: You have an eye for accuracy and a commitment to thoroughness in all tasks.
  • An Effective Writer: You excel at crafting clear, compelling grant applications and donor communications.
  • Organized and Efficient: You can manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and Resourceful: You enjoy conducting research and can identify opportunities that align with Habitat’s mission,
  • Consistently demonstrates confidential, professional behaviour
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
