When you become a volunteer for ReForest London, we want you to feel prepared and confident about your experience. We have developed training to help new volunteers learn more about our organization, learn more about trees and planting and caring for trees, and to help prepare volunteers to be engaged in our organization.
Our courses are explained in detail below. We offer ReForest London Orientation as a prerequisite to introduce volunteers to the organization, followed by specialized training for our Community Liaisons, Tree Gurus, Tree Teachers, and Neighbourhood Tree Captains.
This is our basic introduction training for all volunteers who are interested in getting more involved with our organization. This training session familiarises you with our organization, our goals, and provides information on our volunteer opportunities. We also introduce you to native trees and how to plant them. We ask new volunteers to take this class before continuing on to other training sessions.
