Children with cancer spend a lot of time in the hospital, in their pajamas. Show your support by wearing your PJs to school or work and help raise funds and awareness!
February 15 is International Childhood Cancer Day. Throughout February, we’re hoping to get as many schools and workplaces participating as we can, in a show of support for kids with cancer, and to raise funds to help their families. We’re asking our friends, supporters, families, donors, volunteers – all of you – to reach out to your schools and workplaces and ask them to participate.
We’re hoping that schools will pick a day sometime around February 15, 2020 and encourage their students to wear pajamas and donate a toonie to Childcan. This is a great spirit day during a cold month – who doesn’t want to be in their jammies?
Adults can participate too as we’d like to get workplaces on board as well. Participation will be by donation (think casual Fridays but extra casual) and any donations over $20 will get a tax receipt.
Please help us spread the word. Please approach your school or workplace or any other group you can think of and encourage participation. We’ve developed a letter you can use to explain the event, a few posters to help and if you have any questions or ideas, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
Let us know if your school or workplace is participating by registering here. We’ll reach out with posters and more information. Thank you!
