Mental Health Week at Innovation Works

Mental Health Week takes place the first week of May each year with the goal to raise awareness about the importance of mental health. Innovation Works and Wellness Works are thrilled to be offering free online events for Mental Health Week this year and we’d love for you to join us.

Starting Monday May 2, you can take part in any of the virtual classes listed on the Innovation Work's website. Now, more than ever, it’s extremely critical for you to focus on your health, wellness, and overall well being. The events during Mental Health Week are brought to you by Wellness Works, a community of wellness leaders who have joined at Innovation Works.

DROP-IN PAINT SESSIONS - MAY 2 - 5

The members of City Art Centre recognize the value of a supportive environment and interaction with other people involved in the arts, welcoming everyone to join us in the creative process of making art for their Wellness Program.

The studio is open Monday to Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a volunteer coordinator is available to assist everyone using the studio.

On Monday, from 11:30 to 1:30, there will be a designated time slot, as part of the Wellness program, for people who are not members but who would like to try out the studio resources. There will be support and advice for beginners, but not instruction.

People will be encouraged to relax and enjoy the process of putting ideas and images on paper. Works in progress can be kept in the studio or taken home to be completed later. This program is drop-in, no need to sign up or register prior!
