Investing in Children Celebrates 20 years of serving London’s families, at their BBQ / Fundraiser!
Since 1999, Investing in Children has been helping London and area children, youth and families to learn, grow and thrive through more than a dozen programs aimed at addressing poverty, nutrition, literacy, leadership, inclusion and overall well-being. Some of which include serving more than 1,000 students with special needs through the TVDSB Special Olympics, an After School program, numerous Family Literacy and Math Events, Kids 1st Day, student leadership programs, and much, much more! To celebrate Investing in Children’s 20 years of service, the BBQ Bash / Fundraiser is being held Thursday, October 3 at Cowboy’s Ranch.
A fun-filled night is on the menu, including great food, auctions and live entertainment, showcasing Investing in Children’s music program students, and Saveria, London’s Singer/Songwriter, who recently was chosen on CTV’s The Launch. A myriad of amazing items are up for bid, including a breath-taking diamond and sapphire jewelry set by Nash’s valued at more than $2,300!.
“This is sure to be a great event! It is wonderful to look back and take pride in the role Investing in Children has played in supporting families in London and area over the past 20 years,” said Investing in Children’s Board Chair Tony D’Oria.
The money raised at the event goes directly to continuing important community programs. All of which are designed to serve children, youth and families in London and area.
“We are especially proud to support the City of London in its Strategic Plan, in terms of strengthening our community by addressing poverty, offering all children and youth diverse opportunities to experience growth in literacy, music, and leadership; all without costs or barriers of any type,” Investing in Children’s Executive Director Ted Gorski.
