New this fall!
Join us Thursdays in September and October for enhanced program aimed at homeschoolers!
While we aren’t able to offer our traditional onsite education programs this year, there is still lots to see and discover at Fanshawe Pioneer Village! We are encouraging families with students at home to come for a visit and talk with our pioneers about life in the 19th century. See the buildings at your own pace and visit demonstration stations to learn more about topics like clothing, trades, farming, education, health, and leisure.
On Thursday, September 10th, we will also be joined by Sarah from the Royal Canadian Regiment Museum.
We are looking forward to sharing with you and giving you an opportunity to ask questions about topics you are learning at home!
The Village is open Thursdays from 10:00am-4:00pm (last entrance at 3:30). Bring a picnic lunch and stay for the day to truly discover these lessons. Call ahead to book a time slot or arrive at your leisure that day. For more information on what to expect, and to learn about our COVID-19 procedures, visit the 2020 Planning Your Visit section of our website.
*Please note: demonstrations are not hands-on this year.
